In 2022, SAO Energy in partnership with the Kwara State Government and Kwara State Universal Basic Education Board established an innovative solar-powered Digital Literacy Centre – the first of its kind in Nigeria.
The Digital Literacy Center as mentioned is a solar-powered, internet-enabled computer centre installed within the premises of over thirty (30) public schools across Kwara State.
The objective of this project is to improve the level of education attainable through the introduction of ICT in the primary schools in Kwara state.
The centre aims to provide students in these schools with access to the digital world and knowledge of digital best practices thus preparing and enabling them to compete on a global stage.
